Squint or crossed Eyes

Misalignment of the visual direction of 2 eye balls is known as squint or crossed eyes or Mella Kannu in Telugu. This affect the appearance of the person and also the vision Quality for the patient. Detailed evaluation regarding the Stereoacuity, Convergence and Accomodation Amplitude testing will be done.

Pediatric Eye Evaluation

Children as young as 6 months of age can be evaluated for Visual Acuity. There are special charts like Optokinetic Drum, Lea Picture Chart, HOTV charts available for vision assessment. Annual Eye Screening should be mandatory to make early diagnosis of eye problems to prevent irreversible blindness.

Retinopathy of Prematurity Services

Following the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) Guidelines and Standard Practice Pattern set up by the Indian ROP Society and International ROP Guidelines. The retinal findings should be based on the Classification of Retinopathy of Prematurity guidelines (ICROP).

Orthoptic and Binocularity Assessment

This is required in patients complaining or asthenopic symptoms or reading difficulties, frequent headaches or those with squinting or crossed eyes. Among many tests available some of them are Stereoacuity by Titmus Fly Test, Ocular Dominance, Strabismus work up.
