About Us

Dr Aloka Hedau is a renowned Senior Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Adult Strabismus Surgeon practising in the city of Hyderabad. Having finished MBBS from Pune in 2005, she went on to do her Post Graduation in Ophthalmology from World-Renowned Institute of Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai from 2007 to 2009. At this stage, she dealt with adult Cataract Surgery, Neuro-ophthalmology, Cornea and Refractive Services, Glaucoma, Retina services. She was involved in many community eye care services and was part of more than 100 eye camps in rural places of Tamilnadu. She passed 3 parts of the exam of FICO which is conducted by the International Council of Ophthalmology in the UK and was conferred FICO degree in 2010.  After being an expert in Ophthalmology services, she then went ahead to specialize in the field of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Squint Services in Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai from 2010 to 2011. Continuing as a consultant in the same Faculty, she was involved in Complex Squint Procedures, Nystagmus surgery, Low Vision Rehabilitation, Vision Therapy, Pediatric Cataract Surgeries and Adult Cataract Surgeries and Multiple School Screening Programmes.

In 2012 after shifting to the city of Hyderabad, she has been the Chief Pediatric Ophthalmologist in Care Hospitals, Vasan Eye Care, and Win Vision Eye Hospitals. Known for her friendly and approachable attitude to children and parents alike, excellent surgical skills, hard work and continuous passion to learn and elevate the knowledge and skills made her a popular name in the city in the branch of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.

She also did a special Training in Nystagmus Surgery from World Renown Dr Richard Hertle in 2015. She is affiliated with many reputed Pediatric and Ophthalmology hospitals across the city like Rainbow Hospitals, Little Star Children’s Hospital, Apollo Cradle and Win Vision Eye Hospitals.
